Refunds Policy



HIRED ITEMS

In the event that a refund is requested, any refunds on academic dress hire will be given under genuine circumstances only, including but not limited to:

  1. Not eligible to graduate
  2. Unable to attend due to sickness or injury (medical certificate may be required)
  3. Duplicate payment due to system error

 

QUT Guild will refund the original hire fee less a $10 administration charge. Refunds will be processed in 10 working days with payment made to your nominated bank account.

 

QUT JANUARY POSTPONED CEREMONIES 

Due to the recent COVID-19 restrictions in Greater Brisbane, Queensland Health has reduced the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre's capacity for events. QUT's January ceremonies have now been postponed. Check your QUT student email for more details.

If you have already hired your gown hire for these QUT January ceremonies, your hire will automatically be transferred to the postponed ceremonies. 

If you can no longer attend the postponed QUT ceremonies, please contact us and we will offer a full refund. Refunds will be processed in 10 working days with payment made to your nominated bank account.

 

PURCHASED ITEMS

For change of mind before your order is shipped we can refund your order less a $10 restocking fee.

For change of mind once you have received your items you will receive a refund less a $10 restocking fee once the items have been returned to us provided: 

  1. The item is returned within 30 days.
  2. The item is in its original packaging, unworn and in its original condition.
  3. You produce your original receipt at the time you return the item.

 

Full refund or exchange is offered for any goods purchased found to be faulty. If you have ordered the wrong size gown or mortarboard, you are welcome to exchange for a different size of the same item provided:

  1. The item is returned within 30 days.
  2. The item is in its original packaging, unworn and in its original condition.
  3. You produce your original receipt at the time you return the item.
If you are not able to exchange the goods in person, you may post them back. However, you will incur additional postage costs when the replacement item is sent to you.
